Bridging the Data Gap with Automation

Ricoh Europe faced a challenge: integrating customer survey data from Pointerpro into their Seibel CRM system.

Pointerpro offered no direct integration with Seibel; it just submitted survey results and emailed them to a marketing inbox. As such, Ricoh Europe faced a daunting manual process that was slow and prone to errors. An automated solution was required.

HarveyDavid stepped in, developing a bespoke application that autonomously collects the submitted survey data from a Microsoft 365 inbox, analyses it, and inputs it directly into Eloqua, Ricoh Europe’s marketing automation platform which is fully integrated with their Seibel CRM. But the solution required more than technical integration; it also needed to address linguistic diversity across Ricoh’s European operations by incorporating multilingual capabilities, ensuring seamless operation in every region.

The transformation of the process into a user-friendly tool was pivotal. Originally requiring technical know-how, HarveyDavid simplified it into a simple and efficient process that runs autonomously on any MS Windows, democratising access and removing the need for advanced technical skills.

Completed in just over three days using Generative AI and advanced development tools, this project marked a significant leap in efficiency. The automated system now processes data from 50 surveys in 5 seconds, a stark contrast to the days and numerous staff hours previously needed.

The success of this project opens the door to future process automation innovations within marketing, including a bespoke Email Build Checker Tool to ensure error-free email communications across every Ricoh Europe country operation.
